  • Our bakes are made in a kitchen where gluten, milk, eggs, soya, sesame, nuts and sulphites are present. Some ingredients may also be produced in facilities that handle peanuts. As a result, we are unable to guarantee that our products are completely free from these allergens.

  • You can either choose store pickup (free) or delivery option (with extra fee). This becomes available as you check out.

    • Pickup: At our Store: Tuesday - Saturday, at Em Cakes, 332 West End Lane, NW6 1LN (Sundays and Mondays are closed)

  • 2 Tiered Cake:‍ ‍3 cake layers in each tier, with buttercream icing in between. 

    • 2 Tiered: Medium 8’’ 6’’; Large: 10’’ 8’’

    3 Tiered Cake: 3 cake layers in each tier, with buttercream icing in between. 

    • 3 Tiered: Small 8’’ 6’’ 4’’ ; Medium 9’’ 7’’ 5’’; Large 10’’ 8’’ 6’’

    Sponge: Our cake sponges have moist texture and buttery taste.

    Icing: We use Swiss meringue buttercream which is light, fluffy and mildly sweet.

    • Vintage cakes usually have a lot of icing on the outside for decoration. You can leave it on when serving if you prefer.

  • None: All decoration items are edible.

  • Your cake will be fully assembled as a finished piece, so no setup is required.

    The recipient should carefully follow the handling and storage instructions provided on the cake packaging, or refer to the guidance below for more details.

    • Cakes are to be stored in the cake box, in the fridge in and then taken out to come to room temperature for serving. Typically 1-2 hours before serving.

    • We recommend serving this cake within 48 hours of receiving for optimal freshness.

  • If you are picking up your cake from our store, we recommend transporting it in a car.

    • Please make sure you place the cake box flat on the floor in the front, instead of on the car seat.

    • Drive slowly, avoid harsh breaks.

    Hot weather:

    • If it is hot, make sure your car’s air conditioning is on at least 30’ before arriving at pickup and during the transport. It is best to get some ice packs ready to put around the cake box.

    Once you’re home or at the venue, keep the cake refrigerated in the cake box and bring it to room temperature before serving (typically 1-2 hours out of the fridge).

    We don’t recommend driving with a cake for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour if it is hot).

    • Belgian Chocolate Ganache (chocolate sponge with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate buttercream)

    • Lemon Raspberry (lemon sponge with raspberry buttercream and fresh raspberries)

    • Pistachio Raspberry (pistachio sponge with raspberry buttercream and fresh raspberries)

    • Red Velvet (red velvet sponge with cream cheese buttercream)

  • For 2 and 3 Tiered Cakes: There are cake dowels in the middle of the cake to keep the cake stable.

    This is not edible and needs to be removed before serving.
