Our Vintage Sheet Cake is baked to order in our Hampstead bakery using real butter, free-range eggs and no artificial preservatives, with pickup or delivery available across London. It's available in three sizes and eight flavours, so you can tailor it exactly to your celebration.

Celebrate in timeless style with our vintage-inspired sheet cake, covered in a soft light pink, and decorated with various delicate cream ruffles and lilac little roses. For an extra pop of colour, there's an option to add some glossy red maraschino cherries. Portions are small and served as finger portions.

Inside: Made with three layers of sponges, filled with buttercream and any flavour-specific fillings between each layer, in your chosen flavour.

Outside: Finished with vanilla buttercream in the designed colour scheme.

Cake Message: Option to include a custom message during checkout.

  • Our bakes are made in a kitchen where gluten, milk, eggs, soya, sesame, nuts and sulphites are present. Some ingredients may also be produced in facilities that handle peanuts. As a result, we are unable to guarantee that our products are completely free from these allergens.

  • You can either choose store pickup (free) or delivery option (with extra fee). This becomes available as you check out.

    • Pickup: At our Store: Tuesday - Saturday, at Em Cakes, 332 West End Lane, NW6 1LN (Sundays and Mondays are closed)

    Proof of delivery: Upon delivery, we will take photo proof of delivery as confirmation that the order has been received and fulfilled for our records.

    • Sponge: Our cake sponges have moist texture and buttery taste.

    • Icing: We use Swiss meringue buttercream which is light, fluffy and mildly sweet.

    • Vintage cakes usually have a lot of icing on the outside for decoration. You can leave it on when serving if you prefer.

  • Dimensions Approximation in Length - Width - Height :

    • Medium Rectangle: 12 inches - 8 inches - 4 inches

    • Large Rectangle: 13.5 inches - 9.5 inches - 4 inches

    • Extra Large Rectangle: 15 inches - 11.5 inches - 4 inches

    All cakes are placed on a cake board of approx 4 inches wider than the cake length and a cake box of approx 3 inches taller than the cake height (for storage reference).

    • Cakes are to be stored in the cake box, in the fridge in and then taken out to come to room temperature for serving. Typically 1-2 hours before serving.

    • We recommend serving your cake within 48 hours of receiving for optimal freshness!

  • How should I transport my cake from pickup?

    In a car.

    • Please make sure you place the cake box flat on the floor in the front, instead of the car seats.

    Hot weather:

    • If it is hot, make sure your car’s air conditioning is on at least 30’ before arriving at pickup and during the transport. It is best to get some ice packs ready to put around the cake box.

    Once you’re home or at the venue, keep the cake refrigerated in the cake box and bring it to room temperature before serving (typically 1-2 hours out of the fridge).

    We don’t recommend driving with a cake for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour if it is hot).
